Shipping bulky consumer electronics across oceans is where many first-time importers get surprised by hidden costs, unexpected delays and customs headaches. At Eviehome we have been exporting smart pet products from China since 2014, and we work with our clients to make the logistics as predictable as the product itself. This page explains how we ship, the Incoterms we support, the lead times you can expect, and the documents we provide for customs clearance in the United States, Europe and other markets.
All our quotes are available under the Incoterms you prefer. The three most common for our B2B clients are:
We handle all logistics from our factory in Hefei to the loading port in China (typically Ningbo or Shanghai), including inland trucking, export customs clearance, and loading onto the vessel. Your forwarder takes over at the port of origin. FOB is the most flexible and cost-transparent option for experienced importers who already have a preferred freight forwarder.
We handle FOB plus the ocean freight to your named port of destination (Los Angeles, Long Beach, New York, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Felixstowe, Sydney, etc.) and the minimum cargo insurance required by Incoterms 2020. You clear the goods through customs at destination and handle the final trucking to your warehouse. CIF is the easiest option for first-time importers.
Door-to-door: we handle everything from our factory to your warehouse, including import duties, VAT prepayment (where applicable), customs clearance at destination, and final delivery. DDP is the most convenient option but the price includes a freight forwarder markup. For larger volumes or regular shipments, FOB or CIF almost always comes out cheaper.
| Destination | Ocean freight transit | Air freight transit |
|---|---|---|
| US West Coast (Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland) | 18 to 25 days | 5 to 7 days |
| US East Coast (New York, Savannah, Norfolk) | 30 to 40 days | 6 to 8 days |
| Northern Europe (Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre) | 32 to 40 days | 6 to 8 days |
| Mediterranean (Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Piraeus) | 28 to 35 days | 6 to 8 days |
| UK (Felixstowe, Southampton) | 32 to 40 days | 6 to 8 days |
| Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) | 22 to 30 days | 5 to 7 days |
| Canada (Vancouver, Montreal) | 22 to 35 days | 6 to 8 days |
Add 2 to 5 business days for customs clearance at destination, depending on the port and the time of year. Add 25 to 45 days of production lead time before shipment, depending on order quantity and the product category.

If you are sizing your order around a full container load, here are typical loadabilities for our main product categories based on master carton dimensions:
On every shipment, we deliver a complete document pack for your customs broker:
For reference, here are the most common HS codes we use on export documents for smart pet products. Your customs broker will confirm the exact code applicable in your country:
Our standard payment terms for new B2B customers are 30% T/T deposit before production starts, 70% T/T balance against a copy of the bill of lading. For repeat customers we offer extended payment terms after the third successful order, including Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight, O/A 30 or O/A 60 against commercial credit insurance.
If you have already identified a product and a target quantity, we can provide a full landed cost estimate (product + packaging + freight + insurance + duties + last mile) for your destination. Request a quote with your product of interest, estimated annual volume, destination port or address, and preferred Incoterm (FOB, CIF or DDP). Ryan Lau will respond within 24 business hours with a detailed offer.
